CCUSA: Camp Counselor USA Free Information Evening

All are welcome to attend this free event on 7 November at Upper Riccarton Library at 71 Main South Road from 6.30 – 7.30pm. Applications are now open for the 2018 Camp Counselors USA programme.

Want to be a Hairdresser, Barber or Beauty Therapist?

A speaker from HITO, an organisation which looks after apprentices in the Hairdressing, Barber and Beauty Therapist industries, will be at school at lunchtime on Monday 30 October in the Library Seminar Room. They will talk about the benefits of taking up an apprenticeship and provide personal insight to how it all works. They will talk about the differences of leaving school and doing a course as compared to being an apprentice. This is open for Juniors and Seniors to attend but will only go ahead if enough students are interested. Please email Mrs Sinclair on lsr@burnside.school.nz if you intend coming or call in and see her in F1 or put your name down on the on the list on noticeboard outside of F1.

Ara Design Portfolio Workshop

Students who are planning to apply for the Bachelor of Design can spend a day with our tutors and learn exactly what it takes to put together an impressive design portfolio. Past examples of great portfolios will be examined and students will receive tips on how best to show off their talents.

Letz Live/Tutors Worldwide Presentation

Ara Nursing Information Sessions

Ara will be holding an information session about the nursing programmes they offer on Tuesday 8 August, 5.30pm-7pm in Room N104, Madras St campus . For students considering a career in nursing, the sessions are a great opportunity to get an overview of the Bachelor of Nursing and the Diploma in Enrolled Nursing, and to gain an understanding of what nursing study involves. The sessions will also discuss the career opportunities and further study options available to nursing graduates.
